Change Maker Network

Thred Media is a social enterprise centred around our online magazine Thred.com, where you can find daily coverage on all aspects of youth culture, always seen through the lens of social change.

We have recently launched the Change Maker Network which provides various opportunities for Gen Z who would like to bolster their CV with planet-positive experience. We are currently offering young people the opportunity to become an Ambassador, Discord Moderator, Intern and/or Remote Writer. Benefits from joining the Network include coaching, networking opportunities, start-up experience and CV and LinkedIn recommendations upon successful completion.

Positions

Ambassador

As an Ambassador of Thred, your responsibilities include helping us get the word out about Thred.com to a wide array of youth activists, positive social change makers, young entrepreneurs and youth movements around the globe. Ambassadors can work towards becoming a Champion where your leadership & project coordination skills will be utilised to build your own team of Ambassadors in your region.

Discord Moderator

The Social X Change is our private server on Discord where people can chat openly about all matters relating to positive social change. Moderators perform various roles such as encouraging dialogue amongst the members, sharing interesting social change articles, acting as a guide for new users, suggesting topics and speakers for fire-side chats and ensuring the server remains free from all forms of abuse.

Intern

Internships are offered throughout the year and can vary in length depending on availability and on the length of individual projects. They can be carried out remotely or in the Thred office (subject to government guidelines). Some of the projects include business plan and investor deck research, influencer marketing, website data and analytics, growth hacking, graphic design and community management.

Remote Writer

We are currently building a global eco-system of Remote Writers which allows budding journalists to contribute content to Thred wherever they may be. We will provide one-on-one mentorship, tailored training sessions and you will also be able to pitch your own stories. We also offer a retainer for published freelance writers.
